Horsemanship Retreats

The Horsemanship Retreats that we offer here at Shoals Creek Ranch are the perfect way to advance your riding, deepen your understanding of horsemanship, and relax as you soak in the beauty of North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains. During your retreat, we’ll ride and work as a group every morning until lunch. Then you can spend your afternoon riding in the arena, working in the roundpen, exploring the miles of mountain trails here on the ranch or simply relaxing by the beautiful Reddies River that cuts through the property. Further private or group lessons are also available in the afternoon for an additional cost.
So, what’s included in your retreat? -Board for your horse (currently stall board, contact us if your horse requires turnout).
-Half day of instruction with Elizabeth each day, with the option for further instruction if desired. The teaching and focus of the retreat will be tailored to the needs and desires of each group.
-Complete access to all the ranch has to offer, the arena, round pen and trails are yours to enjoy!
What does it cost? -Cost for groups of two or three riders is $200 per day, per person, with one horse each.
-Cost for groups of four or more riders is $175 per day per person, with one horse each.
-If you would like to bring more than one horse per person, board for each additional horse is $35 a day.
-Minimum of two participants required to schedule a retreat.
Additional Information- -All horses are required to have a current coggins and be up to date on vaccinations.
-We do not currently provide lodging here at the ranch, though that is in the plan for the future! Contact us if you would like information on hotels and/or rentals in the area.
